At 4J Performance Horses, we have over 35 years experience making performance horses the best they can be. Located in central Indiana, 4J Performance Horses strives to train horses so that can excel in and out of the show ring.  We believe that horses can and should be trained with methods that are humane yet productive.  Not every horse learns the same way, and no cookie cutter approach will work with every horse.  You have to be able to read a horse and know when they need pushed and when their attention span has reached its limit.  If a horse doesn't understand what it being asked of it, then you can't expect it to perform it well.   

Working in Western Disciplines, we believe that horses trained the right way can achieve anything!  To have an animal willingly do what you ask, to the best of their capabilities, is what we strive for!  Horses that learn to trust, not only in their rider but also in themselves is the ultimate goal.    
 
We take pride in our horses and believe our stallions have the breeding, the looks, and the attitude to put the kind of babies on the ground that you can be proud of and get the job done. Our AQHA stallions, Smart Sailing Dun It and Day Work For Cash have hall of fame pedigrees.  Foals are in the show ring and making their mark! We try to keep a few good horses around for sale.  If we don't have what you are looking for, we probably know who does.

I was told about 4JPerformance Horses and was skeptical because of the distance and not being able to simply stop over on a whim to check on her.
